Alas, one of the things that we have certainly done during this long period of quarantine is to have succumbed to gluttony. This, together with limited physical activity, may have contributed to the formation or increase of localized fat accumulations.

Summer is almost upon us. Although for many of us it will be different from other years, you may still have the desire to have a body you love for the upcoming swimsuit season.

For some years now, it’s been possible to act on localized fat accumulations (reducing them by up to 24% with a single session) with various completely non-invasive systems. In the vast array of technologies that promise miraculous results, it’s very important to rely on expert professionals who use effective and above all safe equipment. All the techniques that I personally use in my clinics are FDA approved and feature several independent studies on efficacy and safety. Too often, low-cost technologies hide machinery that lack the necessary authorizations and literature that certifies its safety and/or effectiveness.

Precisely for this reason we use only these two technologies for localized fat reduction at SOTHERGA:

  • NON-INVASIVE LASERLIPOLYSIS: this technology uses a laser with a specific wavelength for fat cells. The treatment is hyper-selective: it affects only the affected area and leaves no marks of any kind. Despite being a laser treatment, it can also be performed all year round on tanned skin as the wavelength is specific for fat cells and is not absorbed in the skin at all. The average reduction with one session is 24%, and it’s the most effective FDA-approved lipolysis machine to date. It can be used on the whole body: abdomen, thighs, arms, hips, back, knees, under the chin, etc.
  • LIPOSONIX: a technique that uses ultrasounds to break the wall of fat cells in order to partially eliminate them. The selectivity of Liposnix lies in the fact that it acts only at the depth that is set by the operator. The average reduction with one session is 21%. This technique is also FDA approved. The only thing that needs to be taken into consideration is that compared to laserlipolysis, which never leaves any trace, this technique could have the onset of a bruise which usually lasts for 7-8 days.

In both cases, 1 or 2 sessions are recommended, possibly 6-8 weeks apart. They don’t require recovery time, and you can immediately return to normal daily activities, including exercise. There is no anesthesia, scalpel or needles. None of that.
