Here is a list of tips to follow to avoid excessive sun exposure, which can cause photoaging and numerous skin diseases.

  • Gradually expose yourself to the sun to give your skin time to produce the melanin it needs to protect itself from sunburn.
  • People with light skin and eyes (as with newborns) should avoid exposure in the central hours of the day (12-15) and favor the early morning and late afternoon.
  • Use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
  • Wear good quality sunglasses.
  • In order to maintain a good level of hydration, drink plenty of water and increase your consumption of fruit and vegetables.
  • Once at home, take a lukewarm shower to avoid further skin dehydration.
  • Choose cleansers based on natural oils (little or no foaming), which respect your skin’s hydrolipidic film.
  • After cleansing, apply a good moisturizing after-sun cream. We suggest one with natural oils or shea butter. The latest products are also made with vitamin C, hyaluronic acid or phospidine, which is an anti-aging mix of glucosamine (precursor of hyaluronic acid) and phospholipids (fats extracted from soybeans). These substances help prevent skin aging, reduce sun spots and small scars, and improve skin turgor.

Have a great summer!
