Botox (Botulinum toxin) is a method for eliminating the problem of hyperhidrosis. This solution is able to block the conduction of nerve impulses to the muscles and induces their relaxation.
The solution is injected under the skin with microinjections to inhibit the functioning of the sweat glands. It is done in the armpit, palm of the hand or soles of the feet.
This treatment is generally suitable for everyone. It’s not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in case of allergies to any component of Botox. The treatment can be repeated.
Treatment is outpatient. You can notice the results 2 or 3 days after the treatment. The results last from 9 to 12 months for axillary hyperhidrosi, and about 6 months for palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis.
