Botulinum Toxin injection, also called French Botox, is a recommended treatment for those who have signs of fatigue on the face due to frontal wrinkles, drooping of the eyebrow and crow's feet. Botulinum Toxin temporarily and always reversibly blocks the contractility of the muscles that are responsible for mimic movements. The use of Botulinum Toxin in the aesthetic field was approved by the Ministry of Health in 2004.
If you use authorized pharmaceuticals and rely on trusted professionals, Botulinum Toxin injections have meticulous safety standards and very satisfactory results.
Small doses of the drug are injected into the mimic muscles with a syringe equipped with a very thin needle. During the treatment, we’ll ask you to contract your facial muscles in order to identify which contribute most to the formation of your wrinkles. French Botox doesn’t block all facial expressions, but has a conservative approach that doesn’t distort the features – rather restoring a younger look while preserving the uniqueness of each face.
For wrinkle formation prevention, the treatment must be repeated before the muscles resume normal activity. In the 24 hours following the treatment, you’ll need to avoid alcohol, massaging the area and heat sources (ex: sauna or Turkish bath). For aesthetic purposes, it’s recommended for patients between 18 and 65 years old. It’s not recommended for pregnant women, nor for those suffering from neuromuscular problems.
After the treatment, your face appears younger and more relaxed, without losing expressiveness. The first results are visible after 4 or 5 days, and last from 4 to 6 months.
